The Garden History and Design Committee of the Garden Club of America endeavors to develop an appreciation and understanding of America's most significant gardens, be they large or small, new or old, formal or vernacular, through records, research and photography. The results of the committee's work, which have garnered many historic preservation awards, are shared through educational materials and lecture programs within our clubs and communities.
Gardens that have been documented by GCA clubs are archived at The Smithsonian Institute Archives of American Gardens. To access the Archives, please click here.
