The Garden Club of Allegheny County
is a member of
The Garden Club of America

GCAC began in 1914 as a group of idealistic women wishing to translate their ideas and ideals into public action. Originally, they came from Pittsburgh and the East End, Old Allegheny and Sewickley and later enlarged to include members from other areas of the county and beyond. Since the start, the dedicated volunteers of the GCAC have transformed corners of the Pittsburgh communities with their innovative and industrious projects. The GCAC currently has 160+ dedicated members and is a member of the Garden Club of America, which has over 17,500 members nationally.
